wafers

Unleavened wafers spread with oil, of fine wheat flour, placed in the basket with unleavened bread and cakes for the priests' consecration. A wafer is waved with the ram of investiture.

waggon

Pharaoh's waggons fetch Jacob's household in Genesis 45-46; Israel's sons convey Jacob, their children, and wives to Egypt in them.

water

Water appears in hospitality and wilderness tests; if Israel worships Yahweh, he will bless their food and water and keep them free of sickness. Moses scatters the powder of the burned calf on the water and makes the Israelites drink it.

well

Wells mark covenant and meeting places from Genesis through Exodus 2, where Moses sits beside a well in Midian and waters Reuel's flock.

wheat

Wheat survives the hail in Exodus 9 as a late crop; the feast of Weeks is the first-fruits of the wheat harvest.

window

A window is where Abimelech sees Isaac with Rebekah; Noah also opens the ark's window as waters subside.

wine

Fermented drink from grapes; in Genesis 49 Judah washes his clothes in wine and his eyes are darkened with wine. A quarter-hin of wine is the libation with each daily lamb at the Tent of Meeting.

Two great winged creatures of beaten gold sit on the mercy-seat. The Dwelling's linen sheets and the dividing curtain are also embroidered with great winged creatures.

wood

Wood is prepared for the burnt offering at Moriah; at Marah Yahweh shows Moses a piece of wood that makes bitter water sweet.
